Job Description:

MCS Group is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Stevenage. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative R&D projects and develop cutting-edge electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and design accurate electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs for components and systems.
  2. Create technical documentation, including work instructions, parts lists, and maintenance components.
  3. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the development team, identifying and implementing technical solutions.
  4. Research and develop new electrical products, considering customer requirements, manufacturing methods, and materials.
  5. Design and modify manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  6. Work on R&D projects to expand product range and introduce innovations to market.
  7. Ensure product quality through electrical testing and validation.
  8. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and ISO 9001 standards.
  9. Support cross-functional teams with engineering expertise and problem-solving.
  10. Maintain a safe and organized workspace following health and safety policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • HND or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in electrical design roles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN, or similar tools.
  • Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in technical drafting and compliance.
