Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: £55-70,000 DOE.

A leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of bespoke material handling solutions is looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for its bulk material handling sector. The company is a family-run business established for over 100 years and has built an enviable reputation within material handling. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an established and sustainable company.

The bulk material handling sector provides handling solutions to industries including Airports, Quarry, Mining, Recycling, and Cement.

Responsibilities as the Senior Electrical Design Engineer

1. Create control panel and field component schematics.
2. Produce and create site layouts, containment drawings and block cable diagrams.
3. Support and produce design documentation such as cable schedules, I/O lists, bills of materials.
4. Work in conjunction with the Mechanical & Automation Engineering and R&D teams, in the development of current machines, and the design of new machines.

Requirements for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer

1. Good working knowledge of the bulk materials handling systems industry.
2. 5+ years working as an Electrical Designer within the automation sector.
3. Ideally educated to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
4. Experience designing baggage handling machinery.
5. Strong design package, ideally SolidWorks Electrical/ Eplan design capabilities.
