Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Harold Wood, Romford

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

Full-Time | Office-Based with Hybrid Flexibility Post-Probation

A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Harold Wood, Romford. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of diverse and challenging projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design work across RIBA Stages 0-7
  • Collaborate with an internal CAD team while maintaining full engineering responsibility
  • Deliver high-quality solutions across a range of sectors including local authority, commercial, education, listed buildings, and rail (current workload is rail-heavy)
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced across all RIBA stages
  • Able to commute easily to Harold Wood
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
  • Rail sector experience is a strong advantage, though not essential
Interview Process
  • Typically one stage, with potential for a second if needed
  • In-person interviews preferred
  • Candidates are encouraged to bring a sample of previous design work for discussion
Working Hours & Flexibility
  • Core hours: 10am-4pm
  • Standard working pattern is 5 days in office
  • After probation, 2 days per week working from home
  • Overtime paid at standard rate
