Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical design across projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practice.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural) to deliver coordinated solutions.
  • Manage your own workload and support resource planning within project teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop technically and professionally.
  • Attend site visits and meetings, representing the consultancy with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring high–quality outputs.
  • Contribute to sustainability–focused solutions, integrating energy–efficient and low–carbon design into projects.
What They're Looking For
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Building Services design within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulations and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with design software such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, and AutoCAD (Revit an advantage).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects.
  • A proactive, problem–solving approach with strong teamwork skills.
  • Working towards Chartership (CEng) or already chartered.
