Job description

Role Overview: Lead electrical engineering teams to produce clear and concise engineering deliverables such as single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, control system architecture drawings, load schedules, MCC datasheets, and equipment/material selection documentation. Serve as a technical specialist providing expertise and ensuring compliance with in-house procedural and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate development of multidiscipline deliverables like P&IDs and manage design interfaces with other disciplines.
  2. Work closely with project teams, including engineering, project management, site, commissioning, CAD, joint venture partners, and clients.
  3. Undertake technical bid assessments, subcontractor reviews, and support site teams with technical guidance.
  4. Provide supervision and technical guidance to project teams, including performance management and professional development support.
  5. Define and manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements for electrical teams.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in clean water and wastewater systems design, including equipment specification, electrical power systems, control systems, plant layout, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems, water treatment control systems, manufacturing processes, testing, commissioning, procurement, and relevant codes/practices.
  • Degree in electrical engineering or related field; several years of relevant work experience.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills and computer literacy.

Desirable: Professional qualifications (IEng / CEng MIET), leadership skills, continuous improvement mindset, mentoring ability, and ongoing professional development.
