Job summary

Kirkland Associates is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Nottinghamshire to support high‑pressure pipeline and plant systems. You will design electrical systems, perform calculations and produce technical reports, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate holds an Electrical Engineering degree, is chartered or working towards chartership, and has experience in utilities/pipelines with BS 7671 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience within utilities, pipelines or related industrial sector.
• Good working knowledge of BS 7671 and associated standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Kirkland Associates is recruiting for an engineering consultancy specialising in the energy sector. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the design of high–pressure pipeline and associated plant systems.

This opportunity would suit an experienced electrical design engineer who enjoys technically challenging projects, working collaboratively and taking responsibility for delivering high–quality engineering solutions.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Produce electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.

• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership.
• Electrical design experience within utilities, pipelines or a related industrial sector.
• Good working knowledge of BS 7671 and associated standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Knowledge of Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, AutoCAD, ATEX/DSEAR, earthing, lightning protection or control and instrumentation systems would be advantageous, as would C&G 2396.
