Job Description:

MCS Group is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Bedford. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative R&D projects and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electrical systems.

• Develop and design electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs for components and systems.
• Create technical documentation, including work instructions, parts lists, and maintenance components.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the development team, and implement technical solutions.
• Research and develop new electrical products, considering customer requirements and manufacturing methods.
• Design and modify manufacturing and assembly processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Participate in R&D projects to expand product range and bring innovations to market.
• Ensure product quality through electrical testing and validation.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and ISO 9001 standards.
• Support cross-functional teams with engineering expertise and problem-solving.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace following health and safety policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• HND or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or extensive relevant experience.
• Experience in electrical design roles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with technical drafting and compliance.
