Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Inverurie

Onshore position

Type: Full-time | Global HQ & Engineering Centre

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Wireline Systems team. In this role, you'll lead the design of complex systems from concept to completion, supporting the delivery of high-performance solutions that meet client and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Develop and deliver custom electrical designs using advanced computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal quality requirements, maintaining a focus on innovation, safety, and performance.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts to increase design efficiency and product reliability.

  • Provide expert-level support across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations, including client site visits for installation, testing, and technical discussions.

  • Manage design projects from initial proposal through validation and final delivery, including cost estimation and documentation for compliance.


Required Qualifications:



  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong understanding of relevant industry regulations and best practices.

  • Experience designing hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.

  • Experience working within cross-functional, international engineering teams.

  • Proven experience in electrical design, ideally within oil and gas or related engineering sectors.

  • Proficiency with CAE tools and familiarity with industry-standard engineering documentation practices.
