Job summary

LJ.B & Co. Construction Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to lead electrical package delivery for a major mission-critical data centre project in Ferrybridge, near Leeds, UK.

The role oversees daily site operations, manages electrical teams and subcontractors, and drives safety, quality and programme performance. You will coordinate site activities, monitor progress against milestones, review risks and cost implications, and support handover with final accounts, O&M

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised electrical qualification.
• 10+ years' experience managing large-scale construction projects as a general contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical packages and construction delivery.
• Proven ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities and manage performance.
• Strong communication, organisational and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and perform under pressure.
• Flexibility to meet project requirements where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations and manage electrical package delivery.
• Oversee site safety in collaboration with the project team and safety advisors.
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure delivery aligns with programme milestones.
• Monitor labour, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
• Direct the project team and coordinate discipline leads to achieve objectives.
• Chair subcontractor meetings and maintain records of actions.
• Lead the handover, close-out, final accounts and safety files.
