Job description

Job title: Senior Electrical CAD Designer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: Subject to Clearance
Salary Range: Up to £40,000 Per Annum
Benefits Package: 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme - 6-8% Matched, Flexible start & Finish times.
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Hybrid Working Available: 2 Days on Site every 2 Weeks | 4 Days Per Month
Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week + Overtime Available (Double time for anything able two hours)

Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Produce 3D models of electrical systems and equipment integration
  2. Produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and electrical equipment integration such as switchboards and power units
  3. Develop electrical schematics and system diagrams
  4. Produce drawings and electronic data to support manufacturing, installation and testing
  5. Liaise with stakeholders and other design teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and met
  6. Mentor other team members where required

Qualifications/Experience Required:
  1. Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification or experience as an electrical designer
  2. HNC, ONC or degree in relevant STEM subject
  3. Experience in electrical compartment integration
  4. Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems in the 2D and 3D level
  5. Understanding of CAD tools and methodologies
