Job summary

Coffey is seeking an experienced EICA Design Engineer to own practical, buildable EICA solutions across multidisciplinary projects. You will apply electrical, instrumentation, control and automation expertise to deliver safe, efficient and robust designs while collaborating with design managers, site teams, suppliers and clients to translate requirements into reliable outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in EICA/Electrical design.
Professional membership of a relevant engineering institution, or evidence of actively working towards professional registration.
Proven experience in delivery of technical designs.
Excellent technical and commercial knowledge of electrical infrastructure design, construction, and commissioning.
Full and Clean UK/EU driving licence.
Chartered status preferred; working towards Chartered status.
Ability to work efficiently, whether on their own or in a team environment.
Strong People Skills
Diligent with an attention to detail

Responsibilities

Support the Design Manager in delivering Coffey Group EICA design work across the UK and Ireland.
Perform preliminary and detailed EICA design for electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
Develop cables schedules, block diagrams and single line diagrams.
Plan electrical layout drawings, including cable runs and ducts, using CAD tools.
Mentor and train engineers and technicians within the EICA team.
Develop I/O schedules, functional design specifications and control philosophies for EICA systems and associated control interfaces.
Attend FAT and SAT activities for MCCs and control panels.
Inspect and assess electrical installations.
Develop commissioning procedures and project-specific plans.
Occasional travel to project sites will be required.
