Are you ready to lead and influence meaningful projects that drive Scotland toward a net-zero future? RSK Environment, one of the UK’s leading environmental consultancies, is seeking a Senior and Principal Consultant to join our expanding team and play a pivotal role in delivering transformative renewable energy projects across Scotland.

At RSK Environment, we are dedicated to supporting top-tier organisations in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and other complex planning applications. As we continue to expand our presence in Scotland, we are looking for highly skilled consultants to lead innovation and sustainability efforts in this critical sector.

This is more than just a role—it’s a chance to grow your career while making a tangible impact on the world around you. Join us in Scotland, where your expertise will be essential to achieving net-zero emissions and supporting a sustainable future for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Major Renewable Energy Projects: Manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for high-profile projects, guiding them through planning and permitting processes.
  • Develop Comprehensive Documentation: Prepare and deliver detailed feasibility studies, environmental statements, and other key EIA deliverables.
  • Strategic Growth: Lead in proposal and tender preparation, supporting business development and maintaining robust client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Provide Strategic Expertise: Offer specialist advice on environmental and regulatory issues, ensuring projects meet best practices and sustainability targets.
  • Mentor and Lead Teams: Support junior staff, nurturing future environmental leaders, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Experience: A strong record of delivering EIA or environmental consulting services, with the ability to lead complex renewable energy projects.
  • Educational Background: BSc degree in a relevant discipline; MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, or a related field is desirable.
  • Professional Credentials: Full IEMA membership, or equivalent, and Chartered Environmentalist status, or working actively towards it.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of EIA legislation, guidance, and best practices, with robust skills in project and financial management.

Why Join Us?

At RSK Environment, you’ll be part of an innovative organisation where your work will make a lasting impact on Scotland’s environment and communities. We offer a supportive, inclusive culture, opportunities for career growth, professional development, and the chance to work on some of the UK’s most significant renewable energy projects.

If you’re ready to elevate your career and make a difference in the transition to net-zero, we’d love to hear from you.
