Job summary

SLR Consulting in London is seeking a Senior EIA Consultant to lead EIAs on urban regeneration projects across the UK. You will prepare fee proposals, author screening and scoping requests, ES Addenda and ES Reviews, and act as main client liaison.

Reporting to the London EIA Lead, you will work within the EIA – South team and may collaborate with colleagues across offices. The role emphasizes technical excellence, commercial acumen, and chartership development.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and coordinating EIAs for complex urban development projects.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring junior colleagues and delegating tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in fee proposals and prepare screening and scoping requests.

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact and coordinate technical teams.
  • Maintain relationships with Built Environment clients and represent SLR at events.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to EIAs on a wide range of urban regeneration projects across the UK.**The role**This is an exciting opportunity for a technically proficient and commercially-minded EIA specialist with experience in Built Environment projects, such as estate regenerations, urban extensions, strategic land developments, mixed-use town centre schemes, and industrial and logistics schemes, including data centres. Your responsibilities will include:* Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals* Authoring screening requests, scoping requests, Environmental Statements, ES Addenda and ES Reviews* Acting as the day-to-day contact with clients and technical consultant teams* Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the Built Environment sector* Representing SLR at industry conferences and eventsYou will report to and work closely with our London EIA Lead, and will be part of the wider EIA – South team, currently operating out of London, Bristol, Stoke and Birmingham. Your strong communication skills, coupled with your technical knowledge, will mean you can successfully engage and build trust with senior colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.You will also have experience working with more junior colleagues, helping to train them and support their development and effectively delegating to them. Due to the multi-disciplinary nature of SLR, you would be proficient in cross-selling the various environmental and planning services that we offer, whether that be through proposals, building of client relationships or at networking events.
