Job summary

Last Mile is seeking an EHV Programme Manager to lead complex multi-stakeholder EHV projects, coordinating internal teams, DNOs, ICPs and customer contractors. You will manage handovers, track milestones and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout energisation and adoption.

The role emphasizes delivering 4–6 concurrent projects, strong customer-facing skills, and continuous process improvement across the EHV connection journey.

Qualifications

  • Track record of delivering EHV connections (33kV and above), particularly BESS, data centres and large-scale developments.
  • Working knowledge of Bilateral Connection Agreements, customer Connection Agreements and the MPAN/MSID registration process.
  • Understanding of the GB electricity industry framework, including DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs and suppliers, and relevant codes like DCUSA.
  • Familiarity with design approval, inspection and witnessing, as-built and pre-energisation requirements for adoptable networks.

Responsibilities

  • Take a formal handover from the bid and sales team at acceptance of offer, including a register of commitments, and deliver against it.
  • Feed delivery experience back to the bid team so future tender commitments are realistic.
  • Build and maintain an integrated programme for each project, tracking milestones, dependencies and risks across stakeholders.
  • Keep customers informed of regulatory updates (Ofgem, ENA, Engineering Recommendations) and impact on projects.
  • Before works start, confirm ICPs' accreditation, competence and resourcing for the scope, including NERS accreditation.
  • Agree an inspection and test plan with each ICP, with hold and witness points aligned to approvals.
  • Monitor construction quality and adherence to G81 and adoption standards throughout the build.
