Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester is seeking a Senior Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) serving schools and communities.   • Carry out high-quality mental health assessments for children and young people referred to the service.
  • Deliver CBT-informed interventions, individually and in groups, tailored to assessed needs.
  • Provide consultation and advice to education staff and other professionals to support whole-school approaches to mental health.
  • Manage a defined caseload effectively, ensuring timely care planning and delivery.
  • Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues and trainees.
  • Monitor outcomes using Routine Outcome Measures (ROM) and engage in clinical review where necessary.
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and liaise with external agencies to ensure coordinated care.
