Job summary

Trakm8 Group is looking for a Senior Embedded Linux & Vision AI Engineer to lead the development of our embedded Linux device platforms and AI-powered camera products. You will take prototypes through to production devices deployed in customer fleets, shaping the technical direction for embedded Linux and vision AI within the Devices team.

You will mentor colleagues, define measurable targets, and collaborate with hardware, cloud and platform teams to deliver end-to-end automotive-ready

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded Linux development experience: kernel, drivers, BSP work and build systems.
• Strong C and C++ skills with Python for tooling, testing and ML workflows.
• Proven experience deploying and optimising ML/computer vision models on edge hardware.
• Experience with camera subsystems and pipelines (V4L2, ISP tuning, MIPI-CSI).

Responsibilities

• Own the embedded Linux platform for camera and device products: BSP maintenance, kernel and driver work, build systems.
• Design and maintain OTA update, provisioning and device management mechanisms.
• Optmise boot time, power management and system reliability for battery-conscious devices.
• Integrate and deploy computer vision models on edge hardware and tune the camera pipeline.
• Take camera and device products from prototype through field trials to production release.
• Lead and mentor engineers; set standards for embedded Linux and vision AI development.
