Through innovative trust-minimized bridges to both Bitcoin and Ethereum, BOB connects the liquidity and ecosystems of the two leading blockchains, enabling groundbreaking solutions in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.

As a Senior Ecosystem Business Development Representative at BOB, you will be responsible for driving the growth and adoption of our Layer 2 solution by cultivating high-value relationships across the DeFi ecosystem. You will lead efforts to engage with top DeFi projects, dApps, liquidity providers, exchanges, and other influential partners within the blockchain space, ensuring BOB's technology becomes the go-to platform for scaling DeFi on Bitcoin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ecosystem Strategy & Partnership Development: Drive the development and execution of BOB’s ecosystem strategy. Identify, engage, and negotiate with leading DeFi projects, dApps, and other ecosystem partners to forge strategic partnerships and integrations.
  • Market Leadership: Stay on top of trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the Bitcoin and general DeFi ecosystems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and legal teams to ensure that partnerships are well-integrated and align with BOB’s long-term strategic goals.
  • High-Level Negotiations: Take charge of complex negotiations with potential ecosystem partners, exchanges, and institutional players, driving mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Deal Execution & Integration: Oversee the entire lifecycle of partnerships—from negotiation to execution—ensuring that partners are onboarded smoothly and that integration is seamless.
  • Metrics & Impact Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to partnerships, ecosystem growth, and adoption rates. Provide actionable insights to the executive team on the performance of partnerships and the broader ecosystem strategy.

Requirements

  • Extensive Experience: 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or ecosystem growth within the blockchain, DeFi, or Layer 2 sector.
  • Deep Understanding of DeFi & Layer 2: Strong knowledge of the DeFi space, Layer 2 technologies, and the unique challenges and opportunities of scaling solutions on Ethereum and Bitcoin.
  • Proven Track Record: A history of successfully building and scaling high-impact partnerships within the blockchain industry. Experience in driving revenue growth and adoption through strategic relationships.
  • Exceptional Negotiation Skills: Expertise in negotiating large, complex deals and navigating the intricacies of the blockchain industry.
  • Technical Acumen: Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding the integration needs of ecosystem partners.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience in business development or partnerships at another Layer 2 project (e.g., Arbitrum, Optimism, Base), bringing additional insights into the integration and scaling of blockchain technologies.
  • Understanding of accelerator, incubator, or venture capital (VC) experience.
  • A network and/or experience at trading firms, adding valuable connections and insights into the market.
