Job summary

Barclays UK is seeking an Economic Crime Risk Manager to support the development, maintenance and enhancement of desktop procedures underpinning economic crime risk management within the Business Banking division.

You will help ensure procedures are accurate, up-to-date and aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry best practice, while working with stakeholders to strengthen the control environment and support horizon scanning activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a first-line Economic Crime role with risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Knowledge of UK financial crime legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in customer onboarding and due diligence.
• Experience producing high-quality written documentation, including desktop procedures, guidance and standards.
• Understanding of AML regulations and JMLSG/BSA/industry guidance.
• Experience supporting risk and control frameworks across the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain desktop procedures underpinning economic crime risk management across Business Banking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote consistency in processes and strengthen controls.
• Contribute to regulatory change initiatives and horizon scanning activities.
• Assist in implementing and enhancing risk and control frameworks across the customer lifecycle.
