THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity to join the eCommerce team here at Katie Loxton and Joma Jewellery as Senior Ecommerce Development Manager. This is a key role where technical expertise meets creativity and collaboration. You'll take ownership of all website operations and development, ensuring our Magento 2 platforms are not only beautifully functional but always evolving. From managing data integrity and integrations to leading your team through complex development projects, your work will be central to creating a seamless, best-in-class customer experience across our websites.

You'll work hand-in-hand with WebOps, UX/UI and wider Ecommerce teams—bringing ideas to life, solving problems with care and delivering projects with precision. Calm under pressure and meticulous in your approach, you balance innovation with attention to detail, and always keep the customer front of mind.

The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You'll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Overseeing all website operations and development activities, ensuring the seamless functionality of eCommerce platforms including the B2B sales App
  • Overseeing website upgrades, development, maintenance and QA testing across all online business platforms
  • Ensuring data integrity, focusing on product information, personalisation and metadata accuracy
  • Managing payment provider relationships, ensuring PCI compliance and maintaining payment system integrity
  • Configuring and managing shipping processes, including maintaining partnerships with shipping providers
  • Configuring and managing middleware solutions, ensuring strong relationships with middleware providers
  • Ensuring seamless data flow and process synchronization from order placement to ERP integration
  • Assessing server suitability and managing associated costs
  • Developing a continuous three-year plan to ensure the digital infrastructure supports a robust and growing eCommerce business, including platforms, developers, middleware and payment systems
  • Managing web development agencies and individual developers, driving front and back-end development dialogue, ideally within a Magento 2 (M2) environment
  • Managing day-to-day BAU website updates via Jira boards, prioritising tasks and liaising with internal stakeholders and external developers
  • Creating Scope of Project (SOP) briefing documentation for larger projects, ensuring all stakeholder considerations are addressed and that budgets and milestones are agreed upon and met
  • Planning, managing, and delivering development projects using the methodology of choice
  • Conducting extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), building comprehensive testing boards for new development sign-offs, testing automation wherever possible
  • Managing Magento upgrades, including both security patches and full releases
  • Handling website data management through bulk CSV uploads
  • Leading and managing the WebOps, Development and UI teams, ensuring cohesive collaboration and effective project execution
  • Maintaining a key focus on delivering best-in-class website experiences, with a commitment to quality and user satisfaction
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards and timely delivery of all tasks

THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING

  • A minimum of three years' experience within a similar role
  • Proven experience in managing website developments, ideally with Magneto 2, across both front and back-end perspectives
  • Excellent Ecommerce and Development management
  • A proven track record of delivering digital projects on time and to budget
  • Successfully managed 3rd party agencies or developers
  • Excellent awareness of development methodologies
  • Proven ability of managing an M2 catalogue by means of CSV
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building skills and the ability to influence
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously and within teams when necessary
  • Accountable by nature with the desire to make an impact. Keen to take ownership in a role with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Positive and meticulous team player and a confident communicator
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Magento
  • GTM, Google Analytics & DataStudio, Netsuite, UI/UX testing, AWS, a strong appreciation of JavaScript, HTML and web development languages such as PHP are desirable
