Job summary

RSK Biocensus, part of RSK Group, is recruiting a Senior Ecologist to join our UK ecology team. Based in Manchester, Helsby or surrounding areas, you will contribute to field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing, and project management on nationwide and local projects.

You will oversee site work and habitat management or creation tasks under supervision, with opportunities to lead medium to large projects and liaise with clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or related subject.
• 5 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
• Species-specific personal licences are desirable.
• Associate membership with CIEEM.
• Abide by CIEEM's Code of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing medium/large projects and tenders from start to close-out.
• Promoting RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors.
• Managing medium-sized projects, including finance, resources, subcontractors, risk and QA, ensuring timely delivery and client feedback.
• Completing fieldwork, including out-of-hours surveys and travel as required.
• Assisting with survey/research reports, reviews, licences, and reporting.
