Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our client’s internal project team in Wales. The role covers major infrastructure and pipeline projects, with responsibility for advising engineering teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will work across South Wales and the wider Wales/South West network, with potential to help grow an internal ecology capability and lead on future hires as the team develops.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience as Ecologist or Senior Ecologist on infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of UK ecology legislation and environmental regulations.
• Experience liaising with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide ecological advice across major infrastructure and pipeline projects.
• Support two high‑pressure pipeline projects across South Wales.
• Advise engineering teams on ecological risks and requirements.
• Liaise with Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency and other stakeholders.
