Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our expanding ecological team in Worthing. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and a salary range of £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience, with opportunities for professional development.

You will lead ecological surveys, coordinate projects across sectors, mentor junior ecologists, and contribute to high-quality technical reporting for clients in commercial, residential, and public sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in ecological consultancy at consultant or senior level.
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and survey methodologies.
• Experience with PEAs, EcIAs, protected species surveys, and BNG.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking PEAs and EcIAs.
• Conducting protected species surveys and habitat assessments.
• Contributing to Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and reports.
