Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Ecologist based in Basingstoke to join their growing multi-disciplinary consultancy. This exciting role involves leading ecological surveys and producing technical reports, as well as supporting Environmental Impact Assessments.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK ecology legislation, a degree in a related discipline, and will be responsible for mentoring junior staff while contributing to the growth of the ecology function.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Senior Ecologist within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK ecology legislation and planning policy.
• Experience producing PEAs, protected species surveys and ecological reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead ecological surveys and assessments.
• Produce technical reports and support Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Advise project teams on ecological constraints and biodiversity.
