Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our Winchester team and help establish and grow a new ecology service. You will build client relationships, deliver high-quality ecological advice on varied projects, and lead project teams including junior ecologists.

The role involves managing reports, ensuring compliance with wildlife legislation, and supporting business development while working within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Full CIEEM membership or working towards it.
• Significant UK ecological consultancy experience.
• Knowledge of wildlife legislation, planning policy and BNG.
• Relevant protected species survey licences.
• Strong technical report-writing and project management skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for surveys.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Currently living within commuting distance of the Winchester office.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a growing, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy specialising in ecology, arboriculture and landscape design. With an established team and ambitious expansion plans, this is an excellent opportunity to help develop a new ecology service in Winchester.

As Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in building client relationships and delivering high-quality ecological advice across a varied project portfolio.
