Job summary

A leading water utility company in the UK seeks a County Ecologist to support sustainable projects that enhance biodiversity. As a Senior Ecologist, you will collaborate with environmental teams and external stakeholders to design and carry out ecological surveys. This role offers a flexible working environment, requiring in-person attendance at sites in Warrington, Kendal, or Preston three days per week. Applicants should ideally be chartered or working towards chartership, with experience in ecological assessments, project management, and report writing.

Qualifications

• Chartered Ecologist or working towards chartership.
• Post-graduate or equivalent experience in ecology.
• Experience in ecological surveys and assessments.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ecological support across capital programmes.
• Prepare and review technical reports and assessments.
• Liaise with external stakeholders on ecological matters.
• Support Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
