Role Summary

A successful conservation and environmental consultancy dedicated to enhancing nature and biodiversity is expanding their team and is looking to hire a Senior Ecologist in the Nottingham Area to cover a number of works they have recently won.

Candidate Specification

1. Experienced Ecologist with circa 5 years UK experience
2. A degree in Ecology (or directly related subject). An additional higher degree is preferred.
3. Associate member of CIEEM or working towards
4. Knowledge of wildlife legislation including planning processes and/or EIA/HRA assessments and undertaking surveys.
5. Knowledge, understanding and experience of applying relevant guidance for surveys.
6. Experience in report writing skills, displaying good standards with attention to detail and ability to write accurate and concise reports, including EcIAs and HRAs.
7. Knowledge of the processes involved in undertaking a range of ecology reports, including EcIAs and HRAs.
8. Experience in field surveys including Phase 1 habitat survey, UK Habitat assessment, BNG condition assessment and protected species surveys.
9. Attention to detail and the ability to deliver work on time and to budget.
10. Good communication skills including report writing.
11. Willingness to travel to sites as required and be able to work independently.
