Job summary

Scantec Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer with an electrical engineering background to support the delivery of industrial installation projects across multiple sectors.

You will coordinate project activities, manage technical documentation, support site teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, quality and health and safety requirements. Depending on experience, you may work across multiple projects or a larger, dedicated project.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• At least one year's experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Minimum of two years' experience in electrical industrial installation.
• Knowledge of EC&I installation, containment, cabling and electrical distribution systems.
• BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition knowledge.
• Membership of the IET.
• Experience in highly regulated environments (nuclear/oil & gas/power).
• Existing security clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of electrical and EC&I installation projects at client sites.
• Prepare and manage project documents (method statements, risk assessments, scopes of work, technical queries, as-built drawings).
• Manage project variations and compensation events.
• Produce progress reports, labour allocation schedules, work packs and resource plans.
• Assist with project planning, coordination and monitoring to meet programme.
• Support client communications, attend project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure contractual, quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate project records and effective communication among site teams, clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
