Job summary

NRL Recruitment seeks two Senior EC&I Engineers for a major project in Renfrew, Scotland. You will provide EC&I design, construction and commissioning expertise within a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex machinery packages.

Required are a degree in engineering and 5+ years in EC&I, with PLC/SCADA and MCC experience. The role is a 12-month contract with negotiable rates inside IR35, based in Renfrew.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (BSc/BEng).
• Minimum of 5 years' EC&I experience in design, construction and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation principles.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, Motion Control and Servo systems.
• Experience delivering control system upgrade projects.
• Proven experience commissioning MCCs and control system cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EC&I design packages to support construction and commissioning activities.
• Develop key engineering deliverables: Control System Specifications, Cause & Effect Charts, Datasheets and Technical Requisitions.
• Review EC&I design documentation and diagrams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with project stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on complex EC&I challenges and communicate solutions.
• Participate in FATs and resolve identified issues.
• Attend multi-discipline design reviews with EC&I input.
• Support LV electrical power design activities as required.
• Assist with project delivery activities and other EC&I Lead Engineer duties.
