Job summary

NRL in Glasgow seeks an experienced EC&I Engineer to contribute to a high-profile defence infrastructure project. The role focuses on EC&I design for military infrastructure, including HV/LV distribution and SCADA systems, with an emphasis on governance and risk management.

The position offers a hybrid working pattern (ideally 2 days in the office) on a 12-month Inside IR35 contract. UK security requirements apply, and leadership opportunities are available for senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Current SC clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
• British sole nationality from birth (mandatory due to project restrictions).
• Solid understanding of HV and LV distribution, complex control systems and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with design governance principles.
• Proven ability to deliver RIBA Stage 3 or equivalent design packages.

Responsibilities

Client OverviewOur client supports critical UK defence projects with engineering expertise and innovation. You’ll be working on the Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) programme, focusing on EC&I design for new-build infrastructure at HMNB Clyde.
