px Group is hiring an Electrically biased Senior EC&I Engineer to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operations across UK and Europe. You will manage EC&I systems, networks, and associated equipment, balancing safety, reliability and commercial considerations.

You’ll receive personalised on‑the‑job training, coaching, mentoring and twice‑yearly performance reviews to help you develop and contribute effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in 24/7 industrial environments including maintenance/fault-finding, outage planning and management.

Responsibilities

• Support emergent and planned EC&I issues, delivering projects with safety and commercial considerations.
• Roll out Explosive Atmosphere and Electrical Power Distribution Systems lifecycle management and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671; participate in HAZOP & LOPA; support site modifications via MOC.

Job description

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for an Electrically biased Senior EC&I Engineer. This role is a key role for the safe, reliable and compliant operations, through effective delivery of all Electrical and Control & Instrumentation systems and associated equipment across stipulated px operated sites within both UK and Europe. Effectively ensuring compliance, safety, integrity, reliability and commercial considerations.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice‑yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

• Offering support on emergent work and longer‑term planned Engineering & Maintenance issues which support has been requested for, along with EC&I project execution, balancing Safety and commercial considerations.
• Ensure robust roll outs of Explosive Atmosphere and Electrical Power Distribution Systems Lifecycle management and maintenance ensuring compliance with industry standards, corporate and site policies and provide support and assistance where required.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671. Participate in HAZOP & LOPA studies and support sites. Implement, maintain and review existing power systems and networks. Perform modifications following MOC procedures.
• Understanding and maintenance of architectures for PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other control systems. Ensure cyber security is prioritised and maintained according to current legislation and good industry practices.
• Configure network segmentation for OT networks in line with OG86.
• Lead and manage small projects from conceptual design through to completions, including management of budget and following Operation and Maintenance site.

• Degree in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
• Successful contributions in a 24/7 industrial environment including: Maintenance or fault finding, outage planning and management, Engineering and Operational interface, Management of Change application. Able to work cross functionally, individually and in a team delivering policies, initiatives and compliance to meet business requirements.
• Experience developing, implementing and controlling significant site based upgrades, improvements and modifications.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and contractors.
• Knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, Safe Systems of Work, Electricity at Work regulations, process safety awareness, PTW systems and documents.
