Senior Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer – £50,000-£67,000 – Hybrid

Are you a qualified Electrical Engineer with a sound understanding of control systems? Do you have experience within a highly regulated industry? Would the flexibility of hybrid working be a benefit?

I’m seeking an Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation Engineer to take responsibility for the electrical engineering elements associated with the delivery of machine design and build projects. Working as part of a project team, you will manage electrical design output of the company's sub-contractors, from concept to validation, and support project managers to ensure outsourced EC&I design meets requirements.

The Package:

• Salary up to £67,000

The Role:

• Managing and outsourcing EC&I design and build project elements.
• Working alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identifying design solutions.
• Peer review of sub-contractor produced drawings and documentation against project specifications.
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with clients and suppliers, including the assessment and integration of new EC&I sub-contractors.
• Project conclusion and integration.
• Witnessing factory acceptance tests and project sign-offs.
• Attending bid reviews regarding engineering estimates.
• Supporting scheduling and tasking to Lead Engineers and Project Managers to ensure project delivery.
• Performing general clerical and administrative duties to support the engineering department.

Requirements:

• Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• AutoCAD Electrical knowledge (or similar – Eplan, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.)
• PLC system knowledge
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles, such as the 18th Edition and BS EN standards
• Technical writing experience, preferably with client approval processes
• Experience working within highly regulated industries
• Eligibility to obtain SC clearance as a minimum
