Job summary

A leading company in the Nuclear industry is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer for a hybrid role in Aldermaston. Responsibilities include producing designs and documentation to meet standards, managing suppliers, and ensuring functional safety compliance. The ideal candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications, extensive experience with electrical systems, and knowledge of safety interlocks.

Qualifications

  • Essential experience in Engineering Design & Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Low voltage control gear.
  • IOSH Managing Safely/Level 2 Health & Safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Produce designs conforming to British and European standards.
  • Produce CE&I technical specifications and commissioning documentation.
  • Subcontract supplier management and attendance at commissioning activities.

Senior EC&I Engineer

Aldermaston/Hybrid

  • Produce designs that conform to British and European standards to satisfy client spec within budget and project schedule.
  • Produce drawings, specs and works instruction
  • Produce CE&I design concepts (SLD’s, cable schedules, layouts etc)
  • Produce CE&I technical specs
  • Control system Hardware knowledge
  • LTQR/Technical file production
  • Functional safety experience (BSEN 61508 & 61511) and document production (FDS, SIDD, safety plan)
  • Produce commissioning documentation (FAT & SAT)
  • Subcontract supplier management
  • Attend commissioning activities
  • Safety interlock design experience

Nice to have

  • HVAC control systems experience
  • Technical/Professional body membership
  • Commercial/bid support experience

Who you are

  • HNC, Engineering degree or equivalent career experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely/Level 2 Health & safety in the workplace
  • Essential experience:
