At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior EC&I Designer at our Warrington site.

The Role
As a Senior Electrical Controls and Instrumentation (EC&I) Designer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll be taking designs and developing solutions for our Tails Management Facility (TMF) or our Reprocessed Uranium (RepU) project.

Day-to-day, you’ll contribute to the preparation and production of drawings that meet the agreed quality, time and cost requirements.

  • Promote effective co-operation across design and other functional teams
  • Allocate discipline tasks to team of designers and check team outputs
  • Advise in selection of correct methods and tools for tasks
  • Assist in resolution of technical queries and development of discipline solutions
  • Fulfil design lead responsibilities when required

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Experience Required of the Senior EC&I Designer

  • Experience in detailed design environment
  • Great knowledge of CAD tools
  • Experience of working with multi-discipline teams
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Designer

  • HNC / HND level qualified in relevant engineering subject
  • Member of a professional institute preferred
