Job summary

NEOS Engineering in Basildon is seeking an experienced Earthworks Foreman to lead the site team on the Lower Thames Crossing project. You will manage earthworks activities, coordinate crews, plant and materials, and ensure delivery to programme, quality and safety standards.

You’ll work with the Works Manager and Engineering team, maintain ITPs and Hold Points, and drive productivity while safeguarding the client’s and company’s interests.

Qualifications

• Experience leading earthworks teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on site.
• Ability to plan against a project programme and manage resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate earthworks teams to maximise productivity.
• Carry out daily site visits and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Work with Supervisors to provide hands-on leadership and drive production.
• Plan and coordinate daily activities with Works Manager and Engineering team.
• Deliver works in line with the 3-week programme and project requirements.
• Ensure ITPs and Hold Points are followed and all procedures are adhered to.
• Coordinate daily material requirements and maintain site records.
• Review daily plant checks and report defective equipment.
• Monitor team performance and provide development feedback.
• Maintain standards and client procedures on site.
