Job description

Location: Kilmaurs Early Childhood Centre, Sunnyside, Kilmaurs, KA3 2RY

Salary: £36,455 - £39,985 per year

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Job Description

Contribute as part of a management team to provide quality early learning and childcare for children, families, and the community, in compliance with national and local guidance, statutes, and standards such as GIRFEC. Support integration of universal services within a locality, aligning with the Education Service Plan, Children and Young People’s Services Plan, and Community Plan.

Requirements

This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a PVG Scheme member or update their record before employment begins. PVG records are regularly updated, and disclosures will be discussed with applicants prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Follow national 'Safer Recruitment' guidance, including providing at least two relevant references, one from your current or most recent employer, with the latter being from a senior manager. The Individual

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position at Kilmaurs Early Childhood Centre. The hours are 17.5 per week, directed by the line manager, until 22 October 2026.

The full-time equivalent salary is £36,455 - £39,985 annually, with a prorated salary of £15,633 - £17,147 for the part-time, term-time schedule.
