Our Early Intervention Service is excited to offer the rare opportunity of recruiting two new practitioners to add to its lively and caring team. We offer support to individuals aged 14-65 experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis, using a wide range of biopsychosocial interventions.
These part‑time posts (22.5 hours and 30 hours) offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to develop their skills and positively contribute to the already strong complement of disciplines within the team. Training, great support and professional supervision is offered.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of specialist assessments and evidence based mental health interventions associated to the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that individuals who are referred into the service have their needs and the needs of their families and carers assessed, and interventions/recommendations are identified to meet these needs.
We are a county-wide based team and our operational working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility when required to engage with our service users. We are committed to Agile working in accordance with MPFT trust policy and guidance. The posts entail some travel across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
Come and work with us at our award-winning NHS Trust, leading the way for trying new and better ways of working to help improve life for our local communities.
We have around 9,000 staff who provide physical and mental healthcare, support for people with learning disabilities, and adult social care across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. We also run regional and national services, including help for new parents (perinatal care), eating disorders, forensic services, sexual health, and support for people in prison with mental health, drug, or alcohol problems.
We offer great career development for both clinical and non‑clinical roles, with ongoing training and support to help you learn and grow.
We are 'United in our Uniqueness' and committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, no matter their background or identity. We want our staff to feel supported and valued, and we aim to build a team that reflects the communities we serve. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every difference is respected.
