Senior Early Help Support Worker

Balsall Heath, Birmingham

Salary - £25,400 pro rata

Contract type - Fixed Term - March 2027

Working hours - Part time 30 hours

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Early Help Support Worker based in Balsall Heath, Birmingham.

The aim of this role is to make a positive difference for children, young people and families in Hall Green and Selly Oak constituencies that results in:

  • Healthy, happy, resilient children and families.
  • Families supported to make positive changes.
  • Children able to attend, learn and achieve at school.
  • Young people ready for and contributing to adult life.
  • Children and young people safe from harm.

To achieve this aim you will be required to provide flexible, practical, documented family support as required by the Early Help Voluntary Sector Early Help contract in line with the Right Help Right Time framework.

You will deliver early intervention and prevention initiatives to support to families and young people build resilience, focusing on the service aims, families` preferences and self and professionally assessed risks and needs.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

It is essential that you have NVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care.

You will have experience working within Early Help. This will also include experience working with Multi Agency.

For this role you will be familiar with regulatory and good practice standards around GDPR, safeguarding and data protection.This will include experience in Safeguarding, child development, SEND and Family Support qualifications and training.

This role will require excellent communications skills. You will be able to build trust with others and create an environment that encourages motivation.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role. Without this evidence, you would be unable to commence employment at GreenSquareAccord.
