Job summary

You will develop institutional language testing, train staff, and drive strategic enhancement of embedded language provision for multilingual students to succeed in higher education.

Qualifications

• Essential: DELTA, DipTESOL or equivalent in English language teaching.
• Minimum 3+ years Higher Education EAP teaching experience.
• Experience developing and quality-assuring English language assessments.
• Ability to lead curriculum development and collaborate with academic departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and QA of English language proficiency assessments.
• Design and validate test materials for reliability and alignment with sector expectations.
• Lead moderation and standardisation to ensure consistent assessment across staff.
• Deliver high-quality EAP teaching across in-sessional and embedded provisions.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues on language assessment and pedagogy.
• Lead embedded language provision relevant to discipline curricula.
