Dorset Council is seeking a technician for its Design and Technology Department, working term time plus inset days. We are seeking to appoint a technician to support the Design and Technology Department on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week for 39 weeks a year (term time plus inset days). Grade 5 SCP 5-6 pay award pending.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the head of department, primarily within resistant materials. Responsibilities include maintaining workrooms and equipment, ordering and preparing materials for lessons, supporting students with their learning and projects, and maintaining Health and Safety records within the department.
Carpentry or engineering experience and ICT skills would be advantageous.
