Job summary

Priors Hall - a Learning Community, part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) Trust, is seeking an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead. This part-time role requires 37 hours per week across 40 weeks per year, with a focus on safeguarding strategy and student welfare.

The DSL will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, leading safeguarding, online safety, and child protection, and will liaise with local authorities and police.

Qualifications

• Experience as Designated Safeguarding Lead or similar role in a school setting.
• Ability to develop safeguarding strategies and oversee implementation across the school.
• Proven liaison with local authorities, police and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and child protection across the school, including online safety.
• Join Senior Leadership Team to guide safeguarding strategy and policy.
• Advise staff on welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters and liaise with agencies.
• Oversee and approve safeguarding activities with deputies while maintaining final responsibility.
