Job summary

Igne Group Limited is seeking a Lead Driller for the Ground Investigation division, based from Hamilton with travel to project sites, including Aberdeen. The role is full-time and permanent, with overtime and travel allowances.

The successful candidate will join a growing geotechnical contractor known for its development opportunities. Responsibilities include leading drilling operations on-site, ensuring safety and standards, and mentoring junior drillers.

Qualifications

Background in geotechnical drilling.
NVQ Level 2 Land Drilling (desirable).
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

Carry out all drilling works on-site following company standards and safety protocols.
Report to the site manager and execute tasks as instructed on site.
Ensure access for equipment to work areas and meet project requirements.
Train Assistant drillers to progress towards Lead Driller level.
Perform maintenance checks on rigs and equipment and report faults.
Carry out intrusive survey works and ground investigations using open hole and cased methods.
