We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Drainage Engineer (specialising in water, flooding, and drainage) to join our Water and Drainage team in Exeter. In this role, you'll take the lead in delivering a range of design projects, ensuring they meet established standards, deadlines, and budget requirements. A full driving licence is essential for this position.

Location: Exeter - some remote working available, with travel to the office required

Responsibilities

As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you'll bring specialist expertise in drainage, water utilities, and Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA) requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Leading technically challenging projects, elements, and solutions
2. Applying the latest design standards and lessons learned to projects
3. Identifying risks, communicating impacts clearly, and recommending mitigation options
4. Leading site visits and investigations
5. Delivering projects within established programmes and addressing issues affecting commercial performance promptly

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you have:

• A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications/experience
• Membership with a relevant engineering body
• CSCS card
