AXA XL in London, UK is seeking a Senior Underwriter for Downstream Energy to drive growth and profitability in our energy portfolio. You will underwrite renewals and new business, manage risk, and build strategic relationships with brokers and clients.

Reporting to regional leadership, you will apply deep industry knowledge to assess complex risk, mentor peers, and help shape product development while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Senior underwriter with depth of energy industry knowledge.
• Experience in renewals and new business underwriting.
• Mentorship and leadership to peers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, manage and service a renewal book and produce new business.
• Develop and manage underwriting strategies for renewals and targets.
• Negotiate with producers within delegated authority.
• Build and enhance relationships with brokers and clients.
• Maintain expertise on products and target markets to identify risks.
