Job summary

IQVIA Cambridge seeks a Senior Technical Specialist - DMPK to lead bioanalytical work across Drug Discovery projects. The role combines hands-on LC-MS bioanalysis with project leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement to support small and large molecule programmes.

The ideal candidate will develop novel assays, manage timelines, and drive innovation while collaborating in a matrix team across multiple scientific areas.

Qualifications

• BSc or equivalent in relevant scientific area.
• Industry experience in pharma/biotech or similar.
• Expert user of Mass Spectrometry instrumentation.
• Experience in bioanalytical method development for challenging analytes.
• Accurate planning, execution and troubleshooting.
• Good communication (verbal/written).
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and execute bioanalysis of samples from in vivo DMPK studies for small/large molecules.
• Perform routine and complex troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimisation of MS and LC equipment.
• Analyse diverse sample types (plasma, blood, brain, lung, bile, faeces, urine).
• Determine PK parameters and understanding of underlying principles.
• Lead scientific and technical projects delivering high-quality data on time.
• Mentor and develop colleagues as SME in the team.
