Senior Director, Software Engineering

Trust In SODA is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering for a role based in Newtownabbey, United Kingdom. This position requires an experienced leader to manage and coordinate software engineering teams both locally and offshore, across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in senior management, strategic planning, and collaboration with C-level stakeholders. Experience in fast-paced, internet-facing environments such as FinTech or Payments is highly desirable, especially where zero downtime is critical.

As the lead of the Belfast office's software engineering delivery, the candidate must be adept at cross-team collaboration and managing geographically dispersed departments.

Required Profile:

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering roles, transitioning into management
• At least 5 years managing a department of approximately 100 personnel
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Proven ability to lead teams delivering high-performance, high-availability systems
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles
• Experience managing departments across multiple geographical locations
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficiency in C# or C++ development is a significant advantage
