Senior Director, Software Engineering

We have a new role with a long-term FinTech client in Belfast. If you're a Senior Manager considering your next move, this is worth exploring!

Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join at the Director level, leading teams both internally and offshore across multiple locations. A strong technical background is essential, along with experience in senior management, leading teams, setting strategies, and collaborating closely with C-level stakeholders.

Experience in fast-paced environments is crucial. FinTech/Payments experience is ideal, but any internet-facing environment where zero downtime is critical will also be considered.

You will lead the Belfast office from a software engineering delivery perspective, so confidence in collaborating with multiple teams and departments across the site is necessary.

Required Profile:

• 10+ years in software engineering roles before transitioning into management
• 5+ years managing a department of around 100 people
• Experience with Agile development
• Proven ability to lead teams delivering high-performance, high-availability systems where reliability is essential
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles
• Experience leading departments across multiple geographical locations
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
• Background in C# or C++ is a plus
