Job DescriptionSenior Director, Software Engineering

We've just had a fantastic new role go live with one of our long term FinTech clients in Belfast and if you're a Senior Manager considering your next move, you'll definitely want to take a look!

My client are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to come in at Director level and lead teams both internally and off-shore across multiple locations. You'll need to come from a very strong technical background and have taken that step into senior management where you've been leading teams but also setting strategies and working closely with C level stakeholders.

It's crucial you have been working previously in a very fast paced environment. FinTech/Payments would be ideal but any internet facing environment would be ok, somewhere that zero downtime is crucial.

You'll be the lead of the Belfast office from a software engineering delivery standpoint so you'll also need to be confident collaborating with multiple other teams and departmentsacross that site.

Required Profile:

• Background of 10+ years in software engineering roles before moving into management
• 5+ years in Management - experience leading a department of around 100 people
• Agile development
• Experience leading teams to deliver in a high performance, high availability system where reliability is crucial
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles
• Essential you have lead departments split across multiple geographical locations
• Cross-functional collaboration is crucial to this business
• A dev background in C# or C++ would be a big bonus!
