Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Director to lead the development and execution of our Digital & Tech Finance strategy. This role will be pivotal in transforming core finance operations through the application of advanced technologies, including AI and agent-based ecosystems. The successful candidate will act as a key partner to senior finance and technology stakeholders, driving digital transformation and operational excellence across GSK’s finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior finance and technology leaders, aligning digital strategies with finance objectives.
Collaborate with the Finance Leadership Team (FLT) to shape and deliver digital finance initiatives.
Lead the design and implementation of AI-first process reengineering, including predictive analytics and autonomous decision-making.
Translate finance needs into actionable technology strategies, ensuring alignment with GSK’s broader business goals.
Finance Transformation
Drive the transformation of finance operations by implementing scalable, cost-effective technology solutions.
Lead the reimagination of key finance processes traditionally outsourced to BPO providers, including Source to Pay (S2P), Close and Control (Record to Analyse), Tax Operations, and General Finance Operations.
Develop agent-based ecosystems to optimise financial operations and reduce service costs by up to 50%.
Ensure clear roadmaps and execution plans for each digital finance initiative, removing blockers and enabling delivery.
Technology Innovation
Architect next-generation technical solutions that support dynamic business needs.
Design and implement self-learning agents capable of cross-process optimization and continuous improvement.
Integrate AI solutions with existing ERP systems and financial platforms.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital finance solutions.
Establish feedback loops and reinforcement learning mechanisms to drive ongoing improvement.
Act as a conduit between the Tech organisation and Finance, bringing forward new ideas and innovations.
Required Qualifications
8+ years’ experience with finance transformations, with proven delivery across at least three of the five core finance processes.
Demonstrated understanding of financial regulations and compliance within the pharmaceutical sector.
Demonstrated expertise in AI, automation, and ERP integration.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
