We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Director of Global IT Operations to lead our global technology operations across 12 locations in the UK, USA, and APAC. This role is pivotal in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our global infrastructure, digital platforms, and enterprise systems.

You will lead a diverse team of 25+ engineers across Support, Infrastructure, Platform/TechOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Integration, driving operational excellence and innovation in a multi-cloud environment.

This position reports to the Chief Digital Officer and is part of the Digital team located on site in Cambridge.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead and manage global IT operations, infrastructure, and digital platforms across multiple regions.
• Oversee a multi-disciplinary team including Support, TechOps, Application Support, SRE, Integration and global IT support, responsible for assisting all associates across our worldwide locations.
• Develop and execute a global IT strategy focused on scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Direct the operation, support and maintenance of our Oracle Fusion SaaS ERP system. Own and operate all digital platforms globally, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Tencent Cloud, Confluent Kafka and MuleSoft. Design and implement a multi-cloud strategy leveraging AWS, GCP, Azure, and Tencent Cloud.
• Drive global change management processes and ensure compliance with ITIL best practices.
• Lead the technical production cutover and operational readiness for enterprise systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business-critical applications.
• Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement proactive solutions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Proven experience (10+ years) in IT operations leadership roles within global, multi-site organizations.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing large, distributed engineering teams.
• Expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Tencent).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MuleSoft, and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Deep understanding of DevOps, SRE, and ITIL frameworks.
• Experience leading global change management, production cutovers and complex projects.
