Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Neurodevelopmental Services to provide senior operational leadership and accountability across ND pathways. You will work with clinical leaders and system partners to secure resources, set standards and drive sustainable improvements in access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Professional Registration (NMC/HCPC/Social Worker).
• Master's degree level or equivalent; management qualification (DMS) or equivalent; evidence of CPD at a senior level.
• Postgraduate health qualification or equivalent with extensive senior operational management experience.
• Experience leading large-scale operational transformation across ND services.
• Ability to translate demand and capacity into workforce requirements and delivery plans.
• Experience managing senior operational managers across multiple teams or locations.
• Experience working with clinical leaders while maintaining clear operational accountability.
• Experience reducing unwarranted operational and clinical variation.
• Significant financial management experience managing substantial budgets and resources.
• Experience using performance data to identify issues and assure delivery.
• Experience working with commissioners/ICBs and system partners.
• Strong analytical, influencing, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior operational leadership and accountability for neurodevelopmental services.
• Identify variation, remove barriers and establish standards and performance expectations.
• Report to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and provide assurance to executive governance.
• Lead operational transformation to improve access, waiting times, capacity, quality and outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders, divisional teams and system partners to deliver improvements.
